"From the moment we joined the Holy Family community, we have been impressed by the school's commitment to our children’s development and the nurturing of a strong, faithful community spirit. "

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Holy Family, a joyful, nurturing and thriving school, where we seek to value, inspire and challenge all who belong to our school community.

We value working closely with parents, our parish and diocese, as we believe children develop into the best version possible of the person God intended them to be when everyone is working together. Our ambitious mission statement, 'Trying to Make the World a Better Place', reflects our determination to live out the Gospel values of Jesus in solidarity with those less fortunate than ourselves, and to strive for the Common Good.

At the heart of our education is a child-centred approach. We appreciate that every child is unique, and we endeavour to know them as individuals. We recognise and celebrate the dignity of everyone in our community to ensure our school is fully inclusive. By making the curriculum and learning experiences active, creative and diverse, we nurture a love of learning and a passion to continue education throughout their lives.

Well-respected by local authority officers and school inspectors, we are proud to have achieved: consistently high academic standards, outstanding inspection reports, a reputation for excellent pastoral support and close partnership with local schools.

On September 1st 2024, Holy Family Catholic School joined St Thomas Catholic Academies Trust. We look forward to forging strong relationships with new colleagues and capitalising on new opportunities as they arise.

If you wish to know more, or see for yourself what a special school Holy Family is, please make an appointment to visit. Tours for prospective parents take place on Wednesdays throughout November; please contact the school office to book a tour.
